Baby Update!
16 weeks

As you can see I've gotten bigger this week. I cannot stop eating. I was thinking that i wasn't showing and i was just getting a fat gut...since the uterus is lower than my fatty bump...but the doctor said that a lot of women show up high in the first half.....whatever...it's fat. But either way this pregnancy is SO different than the last....so i shouldn't be surprised.
This month is exciting because I'm supposed to feel the baby officially this month. Woo Hoo! I miss it a little. Right after Charlie was born i would panic and think i was pregnant every time i had gas bubbles. :)
I was supposed to have a doctor's appointment today but it's $300 a visit due to lack of insurance. We can't afford it this month so i had to reschedule for January 4th. I'm pretty excited for the next appointment......ULTRASOUND! I'll be twenty weeks in January so I'm sure we'll find out the sex on the next appointment. This month was supposed to be the DNA testing but i chose to not find out....I'm not afraid of needles....AT ALL. But i DO think it's creepy to have one in the tummy. Secondly I would prefer to not know if there was something genetically wrong with my baby before it's born. I stress out so much anyway. I didn't test with Charlie...and he's fine...that i know of. :)

Josiah's Mom and Gma came this week for Nate and Lila's Graduation. (announcement photos at sarahmaughanphotography.blogspot.com)
They're staying for a few weeks. Breakfast on Saturday was Beans & Eggs Burritos! Yummmmmmmm!

I like this photo of Josiah. He's a handsome devil, eh?...Nerdy and a bit homely looking....but handsome none the less. :)

Charlie is so awful outside our home. I don't think he likes cold and snow. He's started being REALLY awful when the temperature dropped.
He hates being held by me. He hates hold my hand in the stores. I've dropped him more times than I'd like in the store because he's getting too heavy for me to hold onto him while he's flailing about having a tantrum....so yep...I'm one of those parents that let their kid lay on the floor and scream sometimes. :)
He hates his car seat. He's so strong. Sometimes i can't get him to bend his torso enough to buckle him in until after he's been spanked. ugh.
He's so independent. Is that terrible two's thing!? I'm going crazy! Hahaha! This is him in his car seat...oh how this photo rings true of my days now. :)

Baby Names

I know this kid is going to be another boy! I want a little girl so badly but for as much as i want it...i don't see myself with one. (hoping for a pleasant surprise)
I've got a long list of girl names and had about 6 boy names...which only half of were acceptable to Josiah. I sat down and typed in "names of the 1930's and 1940's". I really love the classics. Especially the ones that aren't in fashion anymore but once in awhile you hear the name. Keep in mind this is the first draft...Jos hasn't plucked out 90% of them yet. :)
For a girl though i think i've already made up my mind on the name Amelia. For a boy i really love the name Oliver for some reason but Jos says we'll go with George or Andrew.

...i guess the answer is...he's almost 2.

I've been on the internet looking for baby coupons all day. ugh. What a hassle. I did it with Charlie and finally ran out of free cans of baby formula when he turned 4 months or so...It's so worth it. It's annoying to me that we buy diapers every week and i haven't used a single coupon for them for six months. They're out there. I get them in the mail! And my brain is too slow to remember to use them. Now we have no choice. I need to use them...or Charlie goes to store brand....yuck. I know that probably sounds snobby but there's a big difference....the cheaper ones you not only have to change twice as often but he goes through a lot more clean pants. :)
So i guess what I'm saying is this....diaper coupons? Send them our way.

Josiah's been gone again the past few days again. I hate it. I get lonely. Everyone i know is either at work....or i feel too needy to call. :) I guess he's coming home Thursday. Hopefully in time to feed his Grandma.

Charlie's been so nasty this week. I don't know what his deal is. He's in time out ALL THE TIME! And he never stops whining...ever. Is this just a bad week or is this the start of the next few years. Ugh...I'm disgusted already.

Baby Update
Week 15

I guess not much has changed in the last week. Except maybe more cramping. I know it's just everything stretching a little trying to make room, but it hurts. I don't remember this from last time... but nothing is the same as last time. The baby is supposedly the size of a softball now and I read somewhere that by 15 weeks the vital organs are supposed to be finished and just need to get a little bigger...i guess. :)

UGH!....see! See what i mean! I don't know what's going on with this kid!...i guess the answer is...he's almost 2.
I know this may seem like inattentive parenting...but who hasn't had to deal with this situation.
He's watching TV...I'm typing a blog entry at the table...i turn around and this is what he's done....i don't know where he finds these markers!

I had to clean it off when i was a kid. I think i was a bit older maybe...pff...but 20 months is plenty old enough if he can put it on there. I helped him btw...I'm not heartless. :)


PS: I love to scan through random blogs with the "Next Blog" button at the top of the page...is it just me or are they just choosing religious blogs today....14. Fourteen random blogs...one after another...all by priests or church groups or people that have Title words: God, Praise, or Light in them... Do they do that on purpose or is someone trying to tell me something? :) It doesn't bother me or anything i just think it's an awesome coincidence.

10 minutes later...I think i figured it out. If you're looking at a blog that you know about...a gardener for instance, the next blog is gardening related...which fine...but why are religious blogs coming up with mine? Mine's not religious. Weird.

Thanksgiving weekend

I'm a little upset that I'd forgotten to take photos at Thanksgiving....I was busy! I even forgot to light the candles I'd decorated the tables with. Ugh....Prego brain already! Everything turned out well though. There is nothing better than a cold turkey sandwich the next day. I had four starting a 9am ....eh...we'll get to that in another paragraph. :)

Charlie and i went to Novemberfest today. It was fun. It's a big craft fair pretty much where everyone has their little booths of stuff to sell. I'm a little disappointed there isn't more little boy stuff....it gets a little tiring after the 49th booth of little girl hairbows. I don't know what your supposed to have for little boys though. Crochet cute little vests or paint wood cars or something. I know this next kid will be a boy. ....i just KNOW it! ugh. I want a girl. :(
I need someone to pass my wisdom on to. :)

I've officially started stuffing my face and my belly's showing it. Is it holiday eating or baby eating? I'm pretty sure it's holiday eating. Since a pregnant woman usually is only supposed to take in an extra two to three hundred more calories a day. But I eat like 6 times a day! Which is crazy because for the last two years i eat once a day...maybe a snack or two.
Both you and i know it's holiday eating...but we'll blame it on that innocent little baby.

I unpacked another box and found a few disposable cameras in it. I have no idea what's on them. I'm pretty excited to use them up and develop them. Man....developing film....that's ancient, isn't it?

Belly Photo Day!
Week 14!


This past week i noticed that my belly did pop out. You can't tell too much from the photo especially since last week i had just eaten...but you could tell if i showed my bare stomach...fortunately i will not be doing that yet. I'm too self conscience about it until it gets big enough that you can tell i'm pregnant. :) (That little orange thing is a candle btw.)

Today i gathered few boxes from the storage unit. I was so excited to find my holiday decoration boxes! There were so many things i'd forgotten about...and SO MUCH CHRISTMAS! (i'm pretty excited to put it up the day after Thanksgiving.)
I do however have my tree complete now.


I'm in love with it. I actually use two strings of icicle lights and wrap the pole as i put the tree together. Each branch gets an icicle string of lights so it's lit up inside and out. It's quite handy to only have to wrap it around once too since i don't get help with holiday decorations. Josiah hates holiday decorations...yep..he's an idiot. :) I love simple decorations. My favorite part is the popcorn strings. Most of the stuff is either free and homemade (popcorn strings, pine cones, gingerbread, cinnamon stick bundles, and the copper wiring...got the wire for free and shaped it)or collected a long time ago (the bulbs and rusty shapes).....and the candy canes are from last year. :/
Everyone say hooray for not spending money this year on decorations!

I finished Thanksgiving table decorations today too!

I found a clearance roll of fabric and made three table runners for $2.50. The candle on the left and far right are things i made last year and easily updated with my stack of paper. The goldenrod candles were 46 cents each and i made the holders out of fake leaves i found in a box!

We may not have enough room for thirteen guests in our little place but at least it'll be pretty! :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Today I made gingerbread ornaments. I'm pretty disappointed that they don't look nearly as good as last years....They're like biscuits instead of cookies...but they smell good. :) But Lila was there and she put me in a better mood. :)
For the last 4 years I've made a new set of Christmas stockings every year. I just can't seem to keep track of where the previous years stockings went...
Here's this years. You can't see Charlie's and Josiah's initials as well(they're in black)...because i didn't have enough white M's.


Charlie's been so funny. He LOVES to just walk up to us and give us kisses... And he'll do it non-stop until we notice and thank him for the kisses. I'm excited for the new baby because Charlie's really proving himself to be a good big brother already. He randomly comes up to lift my shirt and kiss my belly. He's also really nice to smaller children now too.

We went to Angie's for breakfast this Saturday to celebrate Lila's Birthday! It was yummy and fun was had by all. Next Saturday we're going to go see New Moon. EEEK! Exciting!

Baby Update 13 Weeks Today!
Officially welcome to the second trimester!
Only 27 more weeks! I'm excited because the appointment after this next one...we find out the sex! It's not until January but it sounds sooner if i think of it in the number of appointments left. Lila talked me into taking weekly photos of my tummy. I wanted to but didn't think i would end up doing it. Thanks Lileta! I think I'll start tonight! K. Wait....I'll go take the first right now and post it..........................................

uh...Twelve weeks i guess.

We had our first ultrasound! Lila came and saw the little stink! It was fun.
It's 5 days older than we thought....how is that possible?! I'm so confused. Since you count it from the first day of your last period...how is that possible? I know when my period came. I wrote it down...and it did not come the week before....Maybe we just have a big baby. I wouldn't be surprised. It has sucked the life out of me.
I'm a little confused about the due date too. The Ultrasound machine was dated a day early. so maybe it's only four days farther than i originally thought. But when i was getting redressed i was reading it and it had the originally thought age...11weeks 3days and then it said actual 12weeks 3days and then it said average 12 weeks. So we're calling it 12 weeks i guess. I totally forgot to ask the due date and he didn't tell me. But i guess it's the 24th of May.
This one didn't move nearly as much as Charlie did. I wish i could have gotten Charlie's on video. He was moving like crazy! So far this one is lazy and confusing. :)

Tomorrow is Lila's Birthday! Happy Birthday Lila!

I know i have more to blog about. Why can't i think of anything!? Oh! I read the Twilight Books again in honor of the New Moon movie coming out in 10 days! Eek! It took me 5 days to finish them all. Josiah was ready to burn them. I can't help the fact that when i start a good book, i have to finish immediately. I'm a complete "reading couch potato" non stop until it's done. But he's only mad because it's literature that he doesn't approve of. If i were reading something on his list he leave me in peace....if he read it maybe he would like them...but i doubt it. I'm only in love with them because they contain the romance that my life doesn't. Ugh. That's another entry for another time though.

I'm still sick in the mornings. Ginger ale has saved my life. I get nauseous but i don't throw up if i drink ginger ale. This morning i did though...before the soda.

He's been gone a few days working with Kelly. Last night they were in Nephi. I guess they're coming back tomorrow at some point. Whatever.
